Parivaar Seva Kutirs in Dindori

We are happy to share that Parivaar Seva Kutirs are entering 8th district in MP – that of Dindori on the eastern fringe of the state. Dindori has mainly Baiga tribes which are classified as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group. Dindori, which was earlier part of Mandla district, has an overwhelmingly large percent of tribal population. It is the second district on the Narmada trajectory which has Amarkantak in Anuppur district as its origin. Our team has conducted a rigorous survey for last one month and we are starting with setting up at least 25 centres in Bajag block – also know as Baigachak – which is the most impoverished area of the district. Shailendra, our sevavratee from Sheopur (which is 700 km away from Dindori) has moved in there and quickly organising local teams and youth. In parallel we have expanded our number of Seva Kutirs in Sheopur (67), Khalwa block in Khandwa (28), Tamia block in Chhindwara (28). We now have more than 240 Seva Kutirs serving more than 50 thousand meals daily and imparting education, life-skills and overall development to more than 25 thousand children for 6 hours daily in all community-offered venues including government school infrastructure. All this is at a zero infrastructure cost. Besides, we have undertaken sizeable initiatives for elderly and local communitiea of these villages in general through Parivaar Shravan Kumar Prakalpa (for vision restoration of visually impaired elderly) and Parivaar Vivekananda Swasthya Setu Prakalpa (for logistical support and access to healthcare including ambulance services) which will be benefitting thousands in this year.
